DOGSPEAK: One Little Word

Many people pick One Little Word (OLW) at the beginning of the year to guide them through what may come.

It took me a couple of weeks into 2022 to figure out mine.

And it doesn't match ANY of Smidgey's suggestions. *Ahem.*

But I will practice my one little word with her on. a. daily. basis.

My OLW is GRACE.

In 2022 I will strive to give grace

To my dog.

To my family.

To myself.

And to everyone I encounter. (both virtually and in-person)

The world could use a bit more grace.

Smidgey always makes me laugh and smile - two things much appreciated in our current world.

And what a wonderful word you've chosen to guide your year!

Thanks for sharing your and Smidgey's thoughts with us today.

I already applaud your efforts for a more grace-filled world. Smidgey will see the light.

Ah, Smidgey walks his own path, a good thing & perhaps also full of a dog's grace, right? I hope your word will aid all of our world, Bridget. We are in need! Happy Weekend!

Grace is a great word, and a word that has several meanings, something interesting to think about for a long time. Smidgy's world: walk, nap. Dogs know where it's at.

Love Smidgey's take/poem on OLW providing us with levity, which I think fits in along with Grace. Enjoy your journey together… Thanks Bridget!

"Grace" is lovely, Bridget. One of my favorites. xo

I'm with Smidgey on this one -- too many fabulous (and aptly descriptive...ha ha) words to pick just one. But I'll borrow yours as one to use every day in 2022.

Bridget, it seems I am having trouble trying to send comments when outside of my house so here is my yesterday comment. Smidgey is quite the young writer and so humorous. Grace is a beautiful word to have as your guide. It is a word that will shower you with peace and also service others as you strive to make it a goal. I ended my post this week with the poem that I wrote for your 10*10 Anthology. I am so grateful for the opportunity that I can't thank you enough. The book is sitting in my study so that someday when my little two-year-old is old enough she will be able to read the poem that was prompted by my play time with her. Have a great weekend.
