I always imagine you having so much fun when you write. It's a joy to read your work and also a great reminder to PLAY with words! So much clever going on in this poem! Thanks!!!
Poor Smidgey. Might I suggest an extra royal biscuit at the end of the day when no other dogs are around. I love how much personality I am getting from your Smidgey poems. They are funny, fun, fun!
Thanks for all the kind comments. If I didn't look for the humor in life and translate it into my poetry, I'd lose my 'biscuits' ala Smidgey. No household needs two drama queens. ;)
Oh Smidgey, you take the cake, or imagine barking "let them eat cake". Seriously, Bridget, my mom had such a dog, in stormy weather, howling, shaking. Glad that you can take Smidgey with all her ferocity and make us smile.
Like Irene, I have enjoyed your comment puns all over the PF round-up! Very entertaining :) (There are some pretty good calming dog treats, btw! Maybe Smidge would like them.)
I'm loving this voice from Smidgey today, she has such a way with words, and brings such wonderful smiles along the way, ^_^ thanks Bridget, and Queen Smidgey too!
I am having deja vu. Maybe I read this post and didn't comment. Did I leave my scent? Smidgey is a fun poet who knows a lot about word play, terror terrier.

Oh, Bridget, your Smidgey poems are so much fun to read. Smidgey's humor is so inviting that it lifts any annoyance from the day. Thanks.

I love the word play between terrier and terror! Lovely! :)
Such a fun poem! Love the idea of "oversized anxiety" in such a little body. You cptured your dog's voice (Smidgey, is it?) perfectly.
Oh Smidgey! Bridget I love your punny comments on everyone's posts as much as these poems. What a marvelous playground you house in your skull! xo

So funny, Bridget! I love the terrier/terror pun! And the photo.
Smidgey!! Isn't she the best poet ever? :) Also the cutest drama queen around. Thanks for making me smile today!

Oh, your poor terriered terror. But as with everyone else, I approach your post with a smile - and am rewarded time and again throughout the rounds.
Btw, the name of your post strikes a particular chord with me today! Can't wait to share more about why.😉
Poor Smidgey--oversized anxiety is a hard cup for a pup to swallow. DogSpeak is really working for you, Bridget!
Thank you, Smidgey, for getting past your terror to write a fabulous poem!
