Next Tuesday, 21 December, is the shortest day of the year -- winter solstice.
To celebrate I pulled my solstice song poem out of my archives.
I wrote it in 2016, but it still holds true today...
The Poetry Friday celebration is at Jone Rush MacCulloch's place...join us!

perfect! Short, sweet and...solticey!
So glad global peace is in your poem. That wish is always relevant!
I'm glad our voices are strong, even with the frosty bite! 💕 Happy Solstice, Bridget!
Nice!!! I'll be thinking of you and your perfect poem next week. :) Happy Holidays!
Perfect part from the heart, Bridget! We aren't regularly cold this year, but today will be forty! I actually love getting layered up, so it will be a good one! Happy Solstice to you & all the family!
Always hoping for global peace, and I love the flickering candle. Have a good solstice.
Bridget, your poem should be in a children's magazine. It is beautiful to read! Happy holidays!
A lovely song--worth sharing again, Bridget!
Perfect! I'm glad you pulled it out of storage. We hit 50˚F today and tomorrow are supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow. Crazy!
Bridget, your poem is a wonderful one for the solstice. Global peace is what we need! Voices Strong!
Yes! Let global peace be our Solstice song!
What a beautiful Solstice peace poem song Bridget, hope it rings out everywhere, thanks!
