Love that "pulsating knot". Will you find a bee keeper to take them? We had a neighbor have it happen, only in their attic. It was a big deal when the bee keeper came to collect the colony. He scraped them into the box with a large feather.
Thanks, Linda! Yes, we worked with a bee keeper to 'relocate' the bees, but the hive was just too big and our house wasn't conducive to the relocation process. Unfortunately they had to exterminate some bees until the crevice could be caulked. After that, the bees eventually flew away. Getting laundry done was challenging for a few weeks... =)
