Today I am sharing the poem I wrote for the Powerpack 10 prompt, Teammates (poem with internal rhyme): Try writing a poem that uses rhyme in nontraditional ways. Don't limit yourself to regular end rhyme and exact rhyme. Try using irregular rhyme, internal rhyme, or slant or "near" rhyme (e.g., team-means, hide-mind).
My poem is called Beam Me Up:

Even in these unusual challenges, you make using few words so easy, Bridget. This is wonderful. I love the use of "counter balance".
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda! I really appreciate your kind and encouraging words. I can only handle a few words at a time. ;o)
DeleteI love the last line!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Liz! I can't tell you the number of times I screamed as my 'counterbalance' didn't work on beam when I was a kid. It was not my favorite piece of apparatus. =)
