Sylvia Vardell and
Janet Wong have done it again! Their newest book,
You Just Wait - A Poetry Friday Power Book is inspiring - so inspiring that reading it has made me excited to participate in the exercises and encourage you to do the same. Over the next several weeks, in random intervals, I will be responding to the writing prompts with a poem in the style detailed in the book. I highly recommend this book for young writers (and writers who are young at heart ;).

Great idea! I love all the southwestern details in all your poems.
Thanks, Liz! I love using prompts and this book is perfect for writing activities. The southwest offers a lot to enhance a poem. =)
I have resisted, although I know it's terrific. I have so many books about poetry and teaching, but you've convinced me, Bridget. This is great, reflecting on your running!
Thanks, Linda! I'd love to see what you come up with as you work the prompts in the book. =)
Thanks so much for the shout-out for YOU JUST WAIT!
You're welcome, Sylvia! It is a book that needs to be shouted about. =)
There you REALLY are, both in words and image--brilliant, Bridget!
Thank you, Janet! YJW is a fun book to work through. Thank you for writing it with Sylvia! =)
