Last weekend I was privileged to attend the PFA Day / WWU Poetry Camp in Bellingham, WA. Holy-wow it was amazing! On Friday night the indefatigable poet-extraordinaire
Robyn Hood Black led a Found Poetry workshop. So. Much. Fun. Robyn expertly and gently guided us through the exercise until we ended up with poetic pieces of art - even I managed to create something in my sleep deprived fog! Below is the tiny poem I "found" on a vintage flash card provided by Robyn: (edited with more ink dabs so it would make sense after I actually had a full night's sleep ;)
Here is the poem in a larger format so you can see the few words more clearly:
Check out Robyn's wonderful etsy Literary Art Boutique called
artsyletters where you can find something for everyone - including yourself!
This week's Poetry Friday roundup is being hosted by the fabulous
Violet Nesdoly who I was lucky enough to meet in person at the Poetry Camp celebration. So fun to meet online poetry friends in person!

Love it! Sounds like everyone had such a wonderful time at the camp.
Leave it to Robyn to make poetry a hands-on experience! Cool poem-art, Bridget.
I love this poem.
I love this, Bridget. And it was wonderful meeting you at poetry camp.
You've told quite a bit of advice in your "found" poem, Bridget. How wonderful that you got to work with Robyn, & be at Poetry Camp!
Nice found poem! How fun to meet the others and work with Robyn. :)
I have been seeing memories and snippets from the poetry camp everywhere today, what an incredible you all must have had, and so much inspiration to take home with you!
Robyn's workshop might have been my favorite part of the whole camp experience! Nice job with your found poem, Bridget– love the art and the message.
Love your found poem, Bridget! And yes, it was so amazing to meet folks like you in person. Hope another Poetry Camp happens again sometime.
So very valuable!
I love your poem! I loved the process and can't wait to try more.
Love the poem, and sympathize with the sleep-deprivation. Wish I could have been there.
Bridget! So excited to (belatedly) read this post. (& Thanks for the kind words.) LOVE what you came up with.
It was wonderful to see you again. I know you're off traveling now - sorry to be so late to this party, but we got orders to plan evacuating last Tuesday after returning Mon. night. Life has been topsy-turvy. Hoping to make it back home tomorrow!
--I won't be able to look at any "freak shells" in quite the same way again, after your poem. :0)
XO
