...once a week poetry treat for the young and the young at heart...
Beautiful.
Thank you, Liz! Amazing what pops in one's head when one has insomnia. =)
Great poem, Bridget. I can relate. Oncoming trains blow whistles into our sleeping ears, driving in daylight spikes, clanking over soft rails. That's how I feel, starting a new job next week. Sleep? What's that?
Wow, Brenda you've got the middle of the night gift for poetry. Sending you well rested vibes and new job happiness. =)
You've shown us a beautiful view, words and picture, Bridget. Sorry and glad both for the insomnia!
Thanks, Linda! Sometimes insomnia brings insight that I can't achieve in the daytime and sometimes it just brings me bags under my eyes. LOL =)
Love the drama in this photograph and the connections to the poem. Great!
Thank you, Katie! A cloudy sunrise can be quite dramatic especially after a sleepless night of introspection. =)
Thank goodness for the rising sun and the way it illuminates and erases the darkness of our nights.
Yes, Mary Lee, one of the best things about life is that there will be another day and another chance to do it better. =)
Beautiful.
