Sweet poem, Bridget!
Thank you, Jama! Dad's are awesome! =)
That pretty much sums it up, doesn't it? Dad's have a pretty important job description. :)
Thanks, Michelle! Yes, Dad's have big shoes to fill - figuratively and literally. =)
Your sweet poem makes me miss my dad. And ache for the kids, like my own (adopted from the foster care system) who have never had that relationship.
I'm sorry you miss your dad, Carol. My dad passed away +25 years ago and the missing doesn't go away. And I'm sorry for your kids - hopefully they have other strong male role models in their lives. =)
Hooray for all the dads who live up to your poem!
Thanks, Mary Lee! Those dad's who do are true gems. =)
You captured the best of dads so beautifully, Bridget! (It certainly takes a lot of bravery to parent all of us young women/dreamer-poets to adulthood!) My dad was so very patient. And FUNNY!
Thanks, Keri! Your dad sounds wonderful! =)
And this is true in new ways as our dad age and shrink and forget. Thanks, Bridget!
Yes, Heidi, things change in the parent/child dynamic when our parents age. Thanks for stopping by! =)
I look forward to hearing your respectful responses...thank you for taking the time to comment! :)
