Martin's words were...
big
bold
brave
Martin used his words...
big
bold
brave
Martin used his words...
to communicate
to challenge
to change
to challenge
to change
Martin's words...
altered thinking
adjusted attitudes
amended laws
altered thinking

amended laws
I appreciate Martin's words...

Oh, Bridget, are we on the same wavelength, or what?! I loved how in the movie SELMA they showed Martin working on his speech. Obviously words were very important to him. What a gift to the world then and now. xo
A perfect poem for this weekend. I think the first stanza is my favorite. It's so direct and the short lines make them so strong.
Thank you, Irene! Yes, we are on the same wavelength and seeing SELMA is on the agenda for this weekend. =)
Thank you, Liz! Martin's words were so strong - then and now. =)
Great one for today, Bridget!
Enjoyed your very timely poem, Bridget. Love how you encapsulated so much about what he was in so few words. :)
Thanks, Catherine! =)
Thanks, Jama! He said so much with just the right words. A good reminder of the power of words (and appropriate action behind those words).
Beautifully written poem, Bridget. I'd love to see Selma soon.
Wonderful poem, Bridget! I wholeheartedly agree!

This is a good one. I enjoy how Martin becomes MLK at the end of the poem.
Thanks, Joy! =)
Big, bold, brave AND beautiful. The words of your poem mirror MLK's strength of heart.
Thanks, Michelle! =)
