Oooh! This is funny and creepy all at once; I'm thinking it'll be fun for Halloween too! It's also funny how something my dad once said, "Location, location, location" is one of those phrases that just sticks in my head. That last line got me. Happy Poetry Friday!
Wonders are everywhere, love that beginning and ending too! I just videoed a spider hanging for its life out my window. We all watched while it, and its web, hung on in a fierce wind! Great poem, Bridget!
Thank you, Linda! Aren't spiders amazing? Sometimes you wonder what they were thinking about the location though...fierce winds don't sound fun. I'd love to see that video. = )
At least you are honest by describing it as a "fixer upper." I believe my realtor mother-in-law calls that "opportunities for personalization." :-) Very clever and just right for the season!
So clever! Sorry I am late to the party. I think this would be good for elementary school Poetry in the Halls (poems up in the hallways during National Poetry Month).

Bridget, this poem is delightful and Amy is right. It will be a wonderful offering on Halloween. Spiders are such interesting home owners.

Dear spider, Please move you house away from my back door!
Brilliant! Love the endless supply of dinner guests :)
Thanks, Amy! The arachnid market is a bit slow these days. = )
Thank you, Carol! They tend to be good neighbors until they abandon their web - at least this guy is trying to sell! = )

Dear Doraine,
I'm trying to move, but the market is sluggish. Ooh, how about a slug for a neighbor? Careful what you wish for.
xo, Mr. Spider
LOL!
Thank you, Jama! I don't think most flies know what is on the menu when they accept. = )
I LOVE it!
Terrific poem with a great title and wonderful last line!
Thanks, Liz! The desert is a perfect location for a vacation home. =)
Thanks, Joyce! As you can tell, I like a good play on words. = )
Super cool! I'll never look at a spider web the same way again. Thanks.
What a wonderfully clever and original poem. I love it, especially the last line.
Aw! I love the spider poem. Makes me think of Charlotte, one of my favorite literary arachnids. :-)

Thanks, Joy! Luckily around here you can see a spider web just about everywhere. = )
Thanks, Susan! Dinner guests are easy to come by in the best locations. = )
Thanks, Holly! My poetry spider being likened to Charlotte is a pretty nice compliment. = )
Thanks, Keri! Realtors sure do have a lot of euphemisms. =)
"Endless supply of dinner guests" is so deliciously, delightfully creepy! I bet you have one of the best houses on the block for Halloween!
Very clever Bridget! Real Estate ads get me every time.
Thanks, Michelle! We actually just had my daughter's 11th birthday party in August - Halloween theme! = )
Thanks, Violet! You never know what you are going to get when you read the real estate ads. = )
