Thank you, Michelle! Thanks for the encouragement about subbing it. I think because it is on my blog it would be precluded because it is now considered "previously published". =)
Thanks, Diane! So I've heard...I actually have a crazy dog. This is what I would think would happen if a kitty woke me up. Not sure I could live with the toe attacks. =)
Funny poem about your alarm clock cat. My cat is a little more subtle, but she always wakes up with me. We stretch and chat, a nice way to greet the morning.
Yup! It's all about the cats today. I have a couple of poems, too. There is nothing like having a playful cat trying to capture your feet under the covers. One of our cats used to very gently tap his declawed paw on our closed eyelids to wake us up!
Sweet poem but that kind of kitty alarm would freak me out. I'm not really a cat person... I seem to bring out the wildness of cats--their secret ambitions of being one of the big cats.
This seems to be the week for felines, Bridget. Nice action in the poem, and ending!
ReplyDeleteI know, Linda, what a coincidence! Ninja kitties are full of action...except when they aren't. =)
DeleteLove this playful poem, Bridget! (I can so easily see it in a children's magazine-- you should make sure to submit it.)

DeleteYep, that's the way it is when you live with a cat! Fun, poem!

ReplyDeleteIf I had a cat, I'd want one like yours, Margaret! A "stretch and a chat" is a great way to greet the morning for any creature. =)
DeleteThat's just like a kitty! I think these Poetry Friday coincidences happen a lot!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Liz! I love coincidences and serendipity! =)

ReplyDeletePaws on you eyelids, Donna??? Wow, thank goodness they were declawed. =)
DeleteVery fun! Lucky for me, our cat is very much my husband's buddy, so he's the one who gets the tap-tap wake up calls!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary Lee! I don't know if I could handle any of these wake calls for reals. My crazy dog sleeps in another room. =)

ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Violet, I'm not a cat person either. And cats seem to sense this... =)
DeleteSweet, fun and playful -- so "cat-like" and purrrfect. :)
ReplyDeleteAh, thanks, Jama! I guess I could add a belated Happy Mew Year to keep with the theme. =)
DeleteThe perfect example of "write what you know" -- your fondness for your ninja kitty shines through.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Keri, but the funny thing is I don't have a ninja kitty or any kitty for that matter. I just hear stories from my kitty loving friends. =)
