...once a week poetry treat for the young and the young at heart...
Ha! I like your fun spring break list poem, Bridget. Happy spring and happy Easter.
8 wonderful days ahead for you! I am looking forward to our Spring Break - a week away!
Ha. Where's "Day 4-ready to throttle; Day 5-hit the bottle"? Oh wait; you have GIRLS...
Great, Bridget. Hope you survived!
LOL. What a fun poem. Only a week's vacation?
Oh goodness, Bridget. What a fun poem. I hope you are lining up summer camps for the summer break. :)JOY
We have to wait until the middle of April here...spring is about a month later in Maine! And I'm retired now anyway...but I remember loving vegetation days~
Thanks, Tamera! It's been nice to have my girls home, but we are all glad that school starts up again next week. Happy Easter to you, too! =)
Thanks, Tara! Actually the 8 wonderful days ahead for me will be when they go back to school next week and get back to their regular routine. Enjoy your Break when it arrives! =)
Too funny, Heidi! Oh, there have been "throttle" and "bottle" days in our house, too! My girls are fun but they have their moments...=)
Thanks, Buffy! I survived and even had fun, but I will be glad to have my routine return next week. =)
Thanks, Jama! Now I need a vacation from their vacation! LOL! =)
Thanks, Joy! Yes, got some camps picked out and we register next week. =)
Thanks, Ruth, for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate it. =)
Wow, Donna, that is a late Spring Break! Maybe the weather will be warmer though? Vegetation is fun...for both parents and kids alike - once in a while. =)
Ah, a fun reminder of the way things used to be! Now it's the grandkids who liven up our house on school breaks. Take heart, the next time it comes around, you will be seasoned!
Love the brevity of this. And my daughter Maddie is right with you--through Day 4, anyway.
Exactly right (as I remember). Hope there was some fun in there too! It's been a nutty weather week too!
Thanks, Joyce! Actually we've all had fun this week - a staycation! Enjoy your grandkids! =)
Thank you, Laura! I hope Maddie doesn't sink into boredom...until she's ready to go back to school. =)
Thanks, Linda! Yes, there has been fun, too. We went to a Mini Museum yesterday, which was great! =)
This is one reason of many to appreciate grandparents. We're heading there as part of our spring break. Increasing the ratio of adults to children always helps. Thanks for the amusing and clever poem!
Thanks, Jeff! Yes, I wish my girls' grandparents lived closer for many reasons - not just for vacations. =) Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate it.
Fun!! And the break sounds really great. We have only 4 days in my district. The kids and I will have to combine some activities! :)
Glad to hear you've had a great break! One of my favorite quotes from mothering when kids were little was, "The days are long but the years are short." My youngest just turned 18, and I can attest it's true. Happy Easter.
Thanks, Steve! My kids are lucky: two weekends+a full school week+Easter Monday=a very nice, long spring break. Enjoy your vacation - even if it is brief. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. =)
Thank you, Robyn! So true about the long days/short years - my girls are growing up so fast - too fast! Happy Easter to you, too!
