We are bunnies,
but we haven't long ears,
or wiggly noses,
though we've been known to
twitch your nose.
Our fluff is not restricted
to our tail,
we wear it head to toe.
We're shy and quiet,
hiding under beds,
behind dressers,
in corners.
Hopping about on the
wake of your
broom's swoosh
is our favorite sport -
unless you pull out
the vacuum
and we get
caged.
Who are we?
Have to say I love bunnies in general but not the dust bunnies under my bed. Love the whimsical tone in this one, Bridget. Kids love a good riddle :).
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jama! Riddles are popular in our household and unfortunately, we have some dust bunnies in residence, too. =)
DeleteI got it!
ReplyDeleteAmos too. And a big smile.
Yay, Liz! Yay, Amos! You both gave me a big smile today. =)
DeleteThe elementary schoolers I work with love poetry riddles. This is adorable. I can just picture them (because we are home to such bunnies) running from the vacuum.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Laura! Yes, we are hosting several of this breed of bunnies in our house, too...though I think the vacuum is coming out this weekend.
DeleteHa! Mine are more like MONSTERS under the bed!!
ReplyDeleteHee-hee, Mary Lee, I know what you are talking about! We can all relate to these critters! =)
