Don't be surprised
If you happen to see
A pirate, a ghoul,
A groovy hippie.
Tonight's the night
To see and be seen.
Have your treats ready,
It is Halloween!
Pirate's Style
Pirate's got
cold, cold feet.
He needs warmth,
he needs heat.
He dons socks -
not any pair.
Aaaaargyl ones -
Pirate's flair.
cold, cold feet.
He needs warmth,
he needs heat.
He dons socks -
not any pair.
Aaaaargyl ones -
Pirate's flair.
Bad Dream
I tiptoe
down the hall.
It's so dark
I almost fall.
I find sis
in her loft,
sound asleep,
snoring soft.
I shake her
on the arm.
She's surprised,
I mean no harm.
I'm just scared -
a bad dream.
Creepy ghouls
made me scream.
Sis moves over,
I scoot and snuggle.
Then fall asleep
without a struggle.
down the hall.
It's so dark
I almost fall.
I find sis
in her loft,

I mean no harm.

Desert Decorations
Pumpkins on porches -
Cheery decorations.
Jack-o-lanterns or whole,
They cause complications.
Marauding night creatures -
Not zombie ballerinas.
Devouring pumpkins -
Horrible javelinas!

Pumpkin Jack
Pumpkin Jack
Orange and round.
Hollow and carved
On the ground.
Pumpkin Jack's
Empty smile
Candle lit
Seen for miles.
Pumpkin Jack's
Glowing face
Welcomes guests
To our place.

Ghost Gathering
Flying ghosts,
Howling ghosts,
Phantom guests,
Spooky hosts.
Don't need food
Or libations
For a "spirited"
Celebration.
ooooooooooooooo!

Autumn In the Desert
Autumn in the desert -
Slightly cooler weather.
After the sun goes down,
I sometimes need a sweater.
Leaves stay on trees -
I don't rake.
In fall I am happy
To no longer bake.
