Neighborhood Friends

After school is out
I'm down the street
At my friends' house -
Lightening feet.

We play outside -
Sit tag and chase.
We squeal and yell,
Smile on my face.

Then it gets late -
Sun's going down.
I get hungry
I'm homeward bound.

Great happy childhood poem. What homework did you hate the most? My mom always made the homework come first before we could go out to play so it was often dark and too late to play. That was incentive.
I like your poems.
