August Holiday

Which holiday is celebrated
In the month of August?
Not Halloween or Easter.
Kids haven't the foggiest.

But parents know
There is one liberating day
When the lazy days of summer end -
It's Back to School Day!

  1. I love this day because the stores all have great bargains on school supplies-- notebooks, pens, composition books. What a great poem.
